Overview
14 Ferndale is a delightful terraced cottage that has been thoughtfully
redecorated and very comfortably furnished. A nautical theme is present
throughout the property reminding you that you are very close to the
beautiful South Devon coastline and the sea.
Living
The lounge/diner has a very
light and airy feel to it and offers a real family living space where
you can choose whether to play games on the round wooden dining room
table or chill out with a glass of wine in the lounge.
Dining
The dining room features a round wooden dining room table and four chairs making it perfect for family meals or dining in with friends.
Kitchen
The kitchen has all the usual appliances and is just off the dining room
making things easy when you decide to eat in for the odd night or two.
Sleeping
There are two double bedrooms both with white painted floor boards,
again adding to the feeling that you are near to or even at sea! The
master bedroom has double aspect windows with views across the valley
offering a magical light show at night from the other properties' lights.
Bedroom two is configured as a twin room and has views across the rear
garden and towards open fields beyond. There is a sofa bed in the lounge
for the odd overnight stay for one or two visitors.
Bathroom
The family bathroom is upstairs and is fitted out in white.
Outside
Outside there is an enclosed small courtyard and steps (which are quite
steep so care should be taken with young children) that lead up to a
long sloped lawn bordered by an established range of gorgeous shrubs and
flowers. The garden backs onto open fields and woodland and enjoys all
day sunshine, perfect for those special Pimms nights! There are steep steps up to the property. The property has
its own parking area for a small/medium car to the front up a narrow
access lane (please be aware that as the lane is very narrow, care
should be taken whilst maneuvering). So park up, leave the car and just
enjoy the delights of Dartmouth and the River Dart. This is such a
great place to stay!

Charming cottage within walking distance to town
It has everything you need for a short break in Dartmouth,good location and lovely views. Parking outside the cottage is a bit tricky so we left our car at the bottom of the hill. Reviewed by Andy from Surrey on 21 February 2013
Feedback on the cottage and the service which Blue Cottages gave
The cottage had been cleaned very well we felt that the fittings were good or adequate. Correspondence with Blue Cottages was very good.The cottage was well positioned for Dartmouth.

Lovely cottage
The cottage was lovely, full of features such as wooden floors, original open fires, sash windows and a quirky cupboard under the stairs. The driveway up to the cottage is very steep but we just left our car parked up and explored Dartmouth by foot - although if you do want to use the car there is space to turn it around and be on your way! Garden out the back was a sun trap and even though it is steep it serves it's purpose. The cottage was also very homely, very comfortable and equipped with what you needed.
