Visitors to South Devon will be flocking in their masses to the spectacular BrixFest celebrations from 26-30 May this year, with a promise of a bigger and better show than ever before! Whether you're a local looking for a family day out, or a visitor looking to get a taste of Brixham and Torbay's seaside culture, it's the perfect event to enjoy the sunshine with a host of free family fun and activities throughout the extended Bank Holiday weekend! And even better - it's taking place during the May Half Term, so both young and old will be able to get a piece of the action!
Here's a breakdown of just some of the fab selection of activities in store...
Sponsored by England's Seafood Coast, local chefs will be showing you how to prepare delicious seafood dishes from locally-sourced ingredients. Why not try something new with the tastes of the South Devon coast!
An array of local music will be played throughout, including the home-grown skills of Brixham Town Band - stop by and enjoy some of our local talent!
Fun on the Water
As well as a great selection of events on land, there's also the famous BrixFest Dragonboat Challenge - a thrilling race to be crowned 2018's Brixham Dragonboat Champion!
A competition which young and old can partake in, enjoy crabbing on the Brixham quayside. Can you be the crabbing champion?!
Vintage Car Rally
If you're looking to enjoy some of our motoring heritage, then a selection of South Devon's vintage cars will line the streets of Brixham, ready for you to explore and get up-close and personal with!
