1. Overbeck's Museum and Garden, Salcombe

This once used to be the home of Otto Overbeck, an eccentric inventor and collector who filled the house with a diverse collection of items, including art, natural history specimens and a display relating to the maritime history of the area. There are also loads of amazing gardens to explore.

This is one of the most important Stone Age sites in Europe. You'll go back to a time when the cave was home to ancient humans. As you walk through the extensive labyrinth of caverns, you'll be surrounded by 400 million year old rocks and spectacular stalagmites and stalacites.
5. Golden Hind Museum Ship, Brixham
The best for "shiver me timbers"
There's so much to see and explore above and below the five decks of the Golden Hind Muesum Ship, with many hands on exhibits, giving visitors of all ages a wonderful insight into life aboard Sir Francis Drake's Tudor galleon.
