Meet the Team
Whether you are a holidaymaker or a homeowner, we are proud to have a friendly team of experts that are dedicated to providing an exceptional service, helping you make the most out of your holiday in South Devon whilst taking care of your property.
Here at Blueriver Cottages the staff are all local, we all know how lucky we are to live in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and with over 20 years’ experience of South Devon and the self-catering market.
Our Local Team
Our Dartmouth office is located on Hauley Road and the door is always open for you to pop in and meet some of the team.
Gemma joined us in December 2016 and has a lot of experience within the holiday let industry having previously worked in holiday lettings and managing her own portfolio of properties in and around Dartmouth. She has a passion for perfection and a keen eye for detail ensuring standards are kept high to benefit owners and guests alike. Gemma has lived in Devon all her life and after completing a Law and Business degree could not bear to tear herself away from the beautiful South Hams. Gemma is a real sun lover so roll on the summer and sunshine at Blueriver!
Often out and about (but still loving her days in Dartmouth!) is Mel, born and bred Devonian, she can tell you anything you might need to know about the area and the holiday let industry. Mel originally trained as a teacher and after teaching for 4 years she felt it was time to move into a different career. Mel has always worked in the local shops as a growing girl and missed the tourists you meet on a daily basis, and the holiday let industry suited Mel’s abilities to talk to a diverse range of people on a daily basis and feed her interest of property around the area.
We are lucky also to have an office in The Anchor Centre at Kingsbridge, which has been up and running since 2015. The Kingsbridge team all live close by and adore the area in which they live in. Marianella has moved to Kingsbridge from Spain, originally trained as a teacher and working in a Thurlestone primary school Marianella decided she wanted to get into the tourism industry. She loves South Devon and now enjoys talking to guests about the area and finding them their perfect holiday cottages and destination.
Toni works between Salcombe and Kingsbridge and is part of our Property Recruitment team. She's out and about speaking to new owners and helping everyone through the intial stages of holiday letting, from advice on kitting out holiday homes to getting you live on the Blueriver site. Outside of work, Toni is busy renovating a cottage with her husband and desperately trying to convince him that they need a dog to accompany us on walks along the South West Costal Path! They love to travel and took 6 months out of their busy lives last year to visit 12 European countries, and has also ran my own project management company in Bulgaria. Toni loves Devon life; her heart is here and no plans of ever moving from this beautiful area. She have over 20 years’ experience of customer service so looking after homeowners and guests is her passion.
Upon joining the Original Cottages family in 2017, we were lucky enough to to have our wonderful Torquay office join us, just off the iconic harbourisde on Torwood Street. The central location means that many of our homeowners and customers pop in (often with their fish and chips!) for a chat with our helpful team of locals.
We're also lucky to have further support from our sister brand Discovery Holiday Homes, where we find Will, Heidi and Agnese. Will is our longest-standing member of the team with several years of holiday letting experience, and as the Reservations Manager for Discovery. A born and bred Torquay soul (for his sins!), he spends his precious free time exploring the Devon countryside and can often be found wandering the coastal path or along the beach.
