Description

West Hartley is a collection of barn conversions just outside of the beautiful and picturesque village of Blackawton. Blackawton is a village well known for the farming community, amazing countryside walks and The George Pub. It's also holds a very unique village festival that draws in a great amount of tourism called The International Festival of Worm Charming. Get your wellies on and be prepared to get muddy as you charm worms out of the soil and win a prize for collecting the most amount of worms (please note worms are not harmed during this competition), take part in the fancy dress competition, or simply sit back and enjoy the festivities at The George Inn. West Hartley is about a twenty minute walk through the lanes to the centre of the village or walk twenty minutes in a slightly different direction through the lanes to the famous Woodlands Leisure Park, a great day out for all of the family, where you can enjoy water slides, indoor and outdoor play zones and its very own small farm. West Hartley is a lovely two bedroom upside down barn conversion, the living space, kitchen, utility and cloakroom on the first floor and the two bedrooms and two bathrooms located on the ground floor. This property has parking for two cars, has a private as well as communal gardens and is happy to accepted two fluffy friends too!

First Floor

Kitchen/Living/Dining - Electric oven, gas 5 ring hob, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, 48" Smart TV with Freeview, DVD player, Guests are welcome to sign into their own Netflix Accounts.

Utility Room - Additional sink and mixer tap, freezer, washer/dryer. 

Ground Floor

Bedroom 1 - King (5') bed, two bedside cabinets, chest of drawers, wardrobe, 24" TV/DVD combi Ensuite - Walk in mixer tap shower, hand basin, w.c.

Bedroom 2 - Twin beds (3' - may be zip and linked to form a 6' super king), tall boy best of drawers, wardrobe, bedside cabinets with lamps, 24" TV/DVD combi. If you'd like the twin beds zipped and linked for your stay please inform us when booking.

Family Bathroom - Jacuzzi Bath with wall mounted shower off mixer taps, w.c., hand basin. 

Garden - West Hartley has a private enclosed (by wooden fencing) garden to the front and side of the property, there is a paved patio area with garden seating provided for your stay. You are welcome to provide your own barbeque for your stay. 

Parking - There is parking for 2 cars, located 10 yards away from the gate for West Hartley. This is a gravelled area, please be area this is a farming community, the driveway to West Hartley is uneven. 

 

Changeover Day: Saturday - Arrival 4:00pm - Departure 10:30am

Security Deposit: This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £200, which is payable to Blueriver Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.

Pets Welcome: Maximum of 2 pets welcome; £25 per pet per week

Power and Heat: Gas and Electricity included in rent. 

Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels are provided for your stay (please bring your own beach towels). If you'd like the twin beds zipped and linked to create a super king bed for your stay please inform us when booking. 

Baby Equipment: Travel cot, stair gates are provided. Other equipment not provided but you may bring your own, please provide your own bed linen for the travel cot.

What a beautiful place. Perfectly appointed. Sparkling clean, lovely welcome hamper and friendly and attentive hosts. A great base for exploring the surrounding area. Recommend Blackpool Sands, Slapton Sands, Salcombe, NT properties at Greenway (Agatha Christies) Coombe Fishacre for a beautiful garden. When parking at Blackpool Sands tell that man that you are just going to the cafe for a coffee and he may let you off the £6 a day fee. Agree with all previous comments about eateries and for great fish & chips try the Start Bay Inn at Slapton Sands, plus some history on Exercise Tiger. Takeaway Chinese find Tsangs in Dartmouth is probably the best we've ever had anywhere in the UK. Thank you for a wonderful holiday, we will be back !

Thank you for a wonderful stay here at West Hartley ! We stayed two weeks here with our 9 month old son and we loved it. Lots of space to play in the big living room and garden. Everything was clean and very homey. Nice neighbours too. Blackpool Sands is definitely worth a trip as well as Exeter and of course Dartmouth.
