A beautiful retreat for any family or couple, situated in the wonderful harbour town of Brixham. "The Cove" is a brand new developement of superior holiday apartments, with outstanding and stunning sea views. The development is located overlooking Fishcombe Cove and has direct access to the secluded beach. "The Cove" is also situated next to the South West Coastal Path and is about 10 to 15 minutes walk in to the charming harbour town of Brixham which has a varied and wide choice of shops and restaurants. The coastal path in the opposite direction leads through National Trust woodlands. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings - take a walk in the nearby Battery Gardens or explore the South West Coastal Path. If you prefer water activities, you can swim, paddle a canoe or go fishing in Fishcombe Cove, directly below your apartment. Look out for the seals basking in the sunshine in the Cove.

Dunlin 3 is a modern ground floor 2 bedroom family apartment with a full width patio from which to enjoy the breathtaking sea views over Fishcombe Cove and out to Torbay. There is direct access to the large patio area from the lounge and the double bedroom, both of which offer stunning views. The apartment has a double and twin bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, living area with stunning sea views leading to the patio with dining table and chairs. A selection of rattan furniture is also availble for you to relax in. To the rear of the property is a large locked storage area, ideal for bikes & kayaks etc. The owners provide free unlimited Wi-Fi for your use.  Guests also have the use of an outdoor swimming pool between May-September and a designated parking space. There is a shop, cafe and bar a few minutes away.

Please be aware that the swimming pool will be closed from 17th September 2016 for the winter.

Kitchen

A very well equipped modern kitchen to suit all your culinary needs with a range of contemporary kitchen units and  a full compliment of fitted appliances including a dishwasher, electric oven and hob, washer/dryer etc.

Living/Dining

A bright and open plan living area with table seating for four people. There is also one 3 seater sofa and a reclining chair with matching footstool and a coffee table. For your entertainment there is large flatscreen TV with freeview, DVD player, DAB radio and an Ipod docking station. The sea views from the whole of this modern luxury apartment are exquisite.

Sleeping

The apartment has a double and twin bedroom with bed linen and towels being included. The double has access to the balcony via patio doors, double bed with matching bedside tables and lamps and built in wardrobe, a wall-mounted flatscreen tv and ipod docking system.  Second bedroom consists of full-size twin beds and a built in wardrobe, wall-mounted flatscreen tv/dvd combi and an ipod docking system.

Bathroom

This family bathroom is fully tiled with a modern white suite consisting of a bath and shower over, wash basin with illuminated mirror, wc and a heated towel rail.

Outside

The property is accessed by a private staircase to the patio which expands the whole width of the apartment. For those al-fresco moments there is a selection of rattan sofas and chairs to enjoy the warm sunny mornings along with the spectacular views.

Parking

There is allocated parking for one car nearby on site and it is possible to pull up nearby to the property and unload luggage.

A very relaxed week in a home from home apartment!
The apartment is very well designed and furnished, everything we wanted in a holiday home. We had two minor plumbing problems but both were put right within hours of reporting them- well done to the plumber! The site is well located on the outskirts of Brixham with a very pleasant wooded walk into town. We also walked into Paignton. I think the swimming pool area could be more imaginative, perhaps changing room, loungers etc. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and although we rarely return to the same place this site might tempt us! ?? A relaxing, peaceful and comfortable break
Dunlin 3 is a very comfortable apartment with a lovely decked terrace which has views out to sea and Torbay. It is beautifully furnished, and very well equipped with everything you would need for a truly relaxing break. The location is ideal being in a quiet area with Fishcombe Cove just below the development, and it's only a short 15/20 minute stroll through Battery Gardens and along the quayside to Brixham Harbour, the walk back does involve steps or a hill, so you do need to be reasonably fit. There are lots of lovely walks in the area, we particularly enjoyed the walk to Berry Head and the nature reserve. Many thanks to the owner of Dunlin 3 and Blueriver Cottages we had a wonderful time. Absolutely lovely
Ok, let's get the niggles out of the way first, there's only a couple of small ones. We booked this particular apartment because the information states that there is an undercroft with large storage cupboard to the rear of the property where guests can store a kayak or bike etc. However on arrival we discovered that builders working to the rear of the apartment (no complaint here as we knew work was ongoing when we booked) were using the undercroft as a temporary storage area. Also there was no key to be found anywhere! We had to leave our kayak on the patio area and as this is a ground floor apartment not ideal. The small outside storage box did have a key but the padlock had rusted shut! Now onto the good stuff and this far outweighs the odd niggles. A lovely apartment. Modern, light and packed full of mod cons. Beautiful decor and comfy furniture. The dish washer and washer/drier were a bonus. The patio area is generous and well equipped with fabulous sea views, although when sitting the views are obscured. The bedrooms are on the 'cosy' side but adequate. We found the apartment sparkling and squeaky clean. There is plenty to see and do in the area. We had a fabulous 4 night break. KPG. Dorset - 2nd October 2015
Lovely stay in beautiful location.
Compact but well thought out apartment. It makes you feel like you are staying at a friends house as everything you need is there, apart from oven gloves (note to owner ?? ) Location couldn't have been better, with the coastal walk to Brixham and the cove right below. Brixham is delightful and Torquay, Dartmouth and Paignton are just a boat hop away. We also visited Cockington and Babbacombe. All in all a memorable stay and we'll definitely return. Craig. Access Statement

Parking and Entry

Dunlin 3 is situated at The Cove, a new development in Fishcombe and only a 10-15 minute walk from the centre of Brixham. The development is approached via electronic entrance gates with secure key pad entry system leading into a communal driveway and 3 car parks, where there is allocated parking for one car, plus ample visitors parking. The property is on the ground floor and accessed via a board walk or follow the road on the left approximately 100m from the parking.

From the flat decked walkway there are 4 cement tiled steps up onto a small platform, turn left and another 6 steps up to reach the decked balcony, the width of the entry is 1.19m, there is no hand rail for these steps. The front entrance is off the balcony with a double sliding patio doors and a 5cm step onto wooden flooring inside.

Kitchen/ Living and Dining Area

The living area is directly in front upon entering and consists of a 3 seater sofa which is 52cm from floor to seat cushion, there is a coffee table centrally positioned on a rug which is 47cm to the underside from floor and a small side table which is 45cm to the underside, this is all oak moveable furniture. There is a pedestal chair which is 45cm high from the floor to the seat and the pedestal is 38cm high. There are two wall hung heaters, 6 recessed spotlights and an up-lighter and dimmable reading lamp in the corner next to the sofa. The flat screen TV is placed on a unit in the corner and the table is 51cm high.

The kitchen is directly behind and to the right of the living area and has level access with wooden flooring, it is open plan with a unit to unit width of 123cm. It is fitted with a modern range of units, drawer units and matching wall mounted cupboards over the work surfaces. There are 4 recessed spotlights and a window to the far end. It includes standard equipment such as integrated ceramic hob and oven plus extractor fan, a built-in slimline dishwasher and washer/dryer.

The kitchen table located to the left of the kitchen is a drop leaf table on casters and is pushed against the wall allowing wider access. The table is 73cm to the underside from the floor.

Bedroom 1

The doorway to the master bedroom is from the living area and is 71cm wide, it has step free access onto carpet.

The standard double bed is 60cm from the floor to the top of the mattress and is positioned centrally in the room with two bedside tables either side which measure 65cm high and both have a bedside lamp. At the end of the bed to the right is a wall mounted flat screen TV which is 144cm from the floor to the base and 173cm to the top of the screen.

The access around the bed to the right has a width of 26.5cm to reach the patio single sliding door with access to the front balcony.

There is a built in wardrobe with a mirror fronted door to the right of the bedroom and 3 recessed spotlights.

Bedroom 2

Bedroom 2 is also accessed off the living area and is adjacent to bedroom 1, it has step free access onto carpeted floor and the doorway is 71cm wide.

It consists of 2 single beds to the right which are standard size with wooden bedstead and they are 59cm from floor to mattress top pushed up against each wall with floor access only from one side. There is a small bedside table between the beds which measures 65cm high with one bedside lamp on it.

At the end of the beds there is a wall hung heater underneath a wall mounted flat screen TV which measures 120cm to the bottom of the base and 152cm to the top of the screen, there are also 3 recessed spotlights and natural light from a window on the back wall where the headboards are.

Bathroom

The bathroom is accessed from the living area to the left of the kitchen table, it has a sliding door which is 65cm wide and step free access onto tiled flooring.

It is fitted with a modern white suite compromising of a low level W.C which measures 41cm to the top of the toilet seat and a wall mounted wash hand basin which is 81cm high to the lip of the sink to the left of the room.

Opposite the doorway is a small bath which is 145cm in length and 55cm wide with an electric wall mounted shower over and a hinged glass shower screen plus a small window above the bath. There is a chrome ladder style heated towel rail/radiator to the right of the room.

There are two recessed spotlights and one wall mounted light above the shaver point which is located above the sink.
