Drunken Sailor is a classic Grade II listed Fisherman's Cottage located in the heart of Brixham, and is just a 2 minute walk from the town’s bustling harbour. This property has recently undergone a refurbishment which was completed in March 2018.
The cottage is arranged over three floors sleeping a family of five in three bedrooms and is pet friendly. Inside, be charmed by several of the cottage’s original features, including its stable entrance door, pine wood flooring, sash windows and exposed stone walls in the lounge and bedrooms.
Outside, the garden is beautifully landscaped and has a decked seating area to enjoy a BBQ, glass of wine or cold beer in the sun. The Cottage is also next door to one of the best and oldest pubs in the local area, the Manor Inn, serving a great selection of Gins (5 star Rating on Trip Advisor).
Drunken Sailor is within a 15 minute walk of Shoalstone Pool, a beautiful seawater Lido, or within a 10 minute walk, feel like you're reaching the ends of the earth by walking the popular Breakwater. All of the town’s local amenities, shops and restaurants are on the front door step less than a minutes walk from the town centre.
The cottage also includes a permit to Brixham Central Car Park (less than a minute’s walk) and also can also be used in several other car parks in the surrounding areas (very handy for when you’re out and about visiting the local attractions).

Parking A complimentary Car Park Permit is provided with all stays at the Drunken Sailor. The permit is registered Online prior to your stay and can be used in Brixham Central Car Park (1 min walk from the cottage) plus over 30 other Torbay Council Car Parks in the area.
Please be aware that Brixham Central Car Park has a 3 hour maximum stay restriction from the 21st March to 20th November from 8.00am - 6pm daily. There are no restrictions outside of these time periods. You are free to re-enter the car park after the 3hr restriction on the grounds you use a different car parking space.
The nearest Long Stay car park for guests to the Drunken Sailor is Oxen Cove and is a 5 min walk from the cottage. You are able to leave your car here 24hrs a day, 7 days a week all year round and is also included on the permit.
Limited on-street car parking is also available opposite the property entrance. Please provide car registration details when booking.
Changeover Day: Saturday Arrival 4:00pm - Departure 11:00am
Security Deposit: This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £200, which is payable to Blueriver Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.

A lovely cottage full of character. Spent a lovely few days with two teenage daughters at the cottage in March. Well equipped, full of charm and beautifully located next to a 17th century pub. There were no problems with noise. The owner was lovely to deal with and resolved any problems very quickly. Highly recommended.Neil - 20th June 2018
Fab Father’s Day weekend. Just on our way back home from a fantastic three night stay at the drunken sailor cottage. The cottage is perfectly located being just a couple of minutes walk to the town, pubs and numerous lovely independent coffee shops. Kate and Jamie the owners were incredibly accommodating and although the cottage doesn’t have parking they provide a parking pass for the long stay car park which worked brilliantly. The cottage was well equipped with some lovely decorative nods to being by the sea and the beds were super comfy. It was our first visit to Brixham and it really does have something for everyone. We did some fantastic coastal walks, had a great meal out at rockfish restaurant and managed to get to the park for obligatory game of footy. All the locals were really friendly and the pub next door was fab. We will definitely be back ! - 17th June 2018
