Great location, spacious, modern and clean
We spent 3 nights at Kessel House and found it to be an excellent base to explore. 10 minutes walk down the hill to town, probably 15-20 mins walk uphill back depending on your fitness! Kitchen was well equipped and bedrooms spacious and comfortable. Loved the choices of statement pieces of furniture and artwork on the walls. A lovely place to stay with friends. Would recommend to friends and would definitely stay again. Niki - West Sussex - 18th April 2016
Brilliant - lovely house
Great location easy to walk down hill to the shops. House is beautiful, really comfortable especially the room downstairs with the kitchen. Has everything you need! Lisa from Kent - 28th December 2015
Lovely house and location but poor car parking
The house is lovely, very well presented with interesting decor. Ample space indoors and nice garden too. Very well located to stroll into Dartmouth town centre - only 5 minutes walk, though coming back is uphill. A good base to explore the area and pleasant to come back to at the end of a day out. Unfortunately the car parking lets Kessel House down. The single private space behind the house is very awkward to get in and out of in a medium or large car, partly due to low walls at each end of the space. For a second car the only other parking available is very limited on-road parking on extremely tight roads - you will do well to avoid a bump or scrape during your stay... When the close by on-road spaces are taken (which we found they often are), the only option may be to leave the car several minutes walk away in town, not ideal with kids or luggage.
