Overview

Number 17 is a beautiful, very spacious, refurbished town house with a comfortable and homely feel, the perfect combination for your holiday. The property is light and airy and has been thoughtfully renovated with off street parking for two cars - A real luxury in Dartmouth!

Living

There is a lovely lounge on the first floor with a mix of comfy sofas and an elegant chaise longue. A huge bay window lets the light flood in and allows views of the town and river beyond. There is an ornamental open fireplace, which adds a feeling of comfort and grandeur, completing the room's magical feel!

Dining

The house benefits from a spacious dining room with a beautiful antique dining table that can seat up to ten people. Ready for the perfect evening meal in or a relaxed brunch with the papers!!

Kitchen

The kitchen is a cream Shaker style and has recently been fitted. There is a built-in oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge freezer.

Sleeping

The Master Bedroom has a king size double bed, which can be split into two singles giving flexible accommodation, fitted wardrobes and an ensuite shower room with wash basin.  

A further double bedroom has a double bed and wash basin.

There is another double bedroom, with a double bed, wardrobe and a shower enclosure.

*There is a hairdryer in each bedroom

Bathroom

There is a gorgeous luxury bathroom with a double basin and deep bath in which to relax at the end of the day.

Outside

With outside areas to the back and front of this lovely house you can enjoy al fresco dinning on those lovely summer evenings or a glass of wine taking in the views on the front terrace. With parking for two cars* this makes for the perfect holiday home: arrive, park up and enjoy all that Dartmouth has to offer!

Parking

This property has parking for two cars. The parking spaces can be found to the rear of the property on Vicarage hill. The property is the last town house in a row of four on your right.

 

This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £250, which is payable to Blueriver Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.

Great house in an excellent location a few minutes walk from the centre of Dartmouth and with the added bonus of parking. A very well equipped kitchen which was great as eating out here is expensive. Delightful, homely property,
No17 is a lovely homely place with everything you need supplied, a well stocked kitchen and comfy bedrooms. There is a short walk to the town and river, only downside to the property are the steep steps back and front, the front steps are easier to use as the handrail at the rear does not start until you are about 6 steps down, could do with one being added. The upside is that you have two parking spaces at the rear, which is great and convenient. A very conveniently-placed and well-appointed house in a lovely town.
All the arrangements worked well. We loved the views and the good position. The parking was unusually good for Dartmouth. Fantastic house in great location. Fully equipped with everything you need, and more!!!! We were concerned about the steps, having a double buggy, but the hall way is big enough to house it, or we left it in the car. 2 parking spaces worth there weight in gold! Fab holiday very comfy and conveniently located house
The house is very well appointed and comfortable with plenty of room for everyone and the kitchen has all you would ever need. It is extremely conveniently located within a few minutes' walk of Dartmouth town centre, a very pretty town with breathtaking scenery and fantastic shops and restaurants etc. Overall we really enjoyed our holiday. The only disappointment was the outside space, we knew the garden areas would be very small, but they could have been so much more inviting. Very uncomfortable old, worn outside furniture, broken step at the back, lots of pots with dead plants etc. The outside space was at odds with the high standard of the rest of the house. We were lucky to have glorious weather but hardly sat outside at no. 17 because the front and back gardens were both so uncomfortable and scruffy. Relaxing stay

Fantastic interiors slightly let down by external space
The property was very clean and offered a great deal of space for a family of five, which was important for a town centre location without a garden. The Victorian character of the house had been well-retained and was tastefully decorated, but with a modern kitchen that was excellent. The large lounge offered fantastic views across Dartmouth, with plenty of seating and high quality furnishings. The bedrooms were equally comfortable and well-appointed. The only downside was the exterior of the property, which was slightly shabby. The courtyard at the rear of the house could have benefitted greatly from an all-weather sofa or similar seating, as the plastic chairs were uninviting where a small haven could have been created. As a result, we didn't spend any time outside. Overall, the property is definitely recommended in its current state and superb location, but could be exceptional with just a few small adjustments. Relaxing, comfortable.....pure heaven
Our second time at this lovely property. It is very comfortable and well equipped and positioned in a perfect location, ideal for us and the kids (aged 16 & 19)and their friends as you can get about to so many places. Number 17
We have just returned from a fantastic week in Dartmouth made all the more relaxing by Number 17. We found the house to be excellent, great location, extremely well equipped, spacious, comfortable and thoroughly clean. The house was a five minute walk from the town centre and the parking facilities at the property where essential. We all felt like we were at home!
We stayed at No 17 over Christmas 2011 and had a fantastic time, we were so grateful to the owner for putting up the fabulous Christmas tree and other decorations, the house looked great. A very comfortable and well appointed house, the very well equipped and stylish kitchen/ dining room being a particular favourite which accommodated 10 of us for Christmas lunch easily. We had a great holiday in Dartmouth and the house was very comfortable with easy access to the town. Number 17 is in a great location and is very clean and comfortable. Access Statement

Access Statement for 17 Northford Road
The property is approached from the rear on Vicarage Hill where off road parking for two
cars is available. 16 external slate tiled steps lead from parking down to the paved rear
patio area, handrail and external light. Access is gained into the property via the French
doors leading into the rear utility porch. To the front of the property is a terrace laid with
paving slabs and with bistro furniture, BBQ facilities. 13 steps in total with an uneven
sloping pathway lead down directly onto Northford Road.
Rear Entrance
One step over threshold into entrance/utility area with a tiled floor. Door 650mm wide to
shower room with low level wc, and shower cubicle with folding screen. Door 750mm
wide to landing.
Landing
Laid to carpet with 10 stairs to ground floor and 6 stairs up to first floor level
Ground Floor
Ground floor entrance laid with a tiled floor and with a 750mm wide front door. Door
760mm wide opening into kitchen dining room.
Kitchen and Dining Room
Laid with laminate to the kitchen area and with carpet to the remainder. Range of kitchen
base units and wall units with a central large island area. Worksurfaces, sink and cooker
hob all at a height of 900 mm with a built in recessed microwave and a built in fridge
