Access Statement

You will access along Newcomen Road and take the next right into Swannaton Road. This property is on the right side of this road. 
There are 26 stairs to the entry. There are 7 more stairs to access into the property. The doorway is 80cm wide with one step which is 17cm high.
The entrance has 3 ceiling lamps and 2 table with a lamp, one of them at the end of it.

Outside Space
Perhaps one of the most relaxing spaces at Melbrake is the lawned garden, a tranquil space perfect for relaxing on a warm summer’s day, watching the boats sail along the river Dart or the famous steam train arrive in the station at Kingswear from Torbay. Ideal for alfresco dining, a separate terraced area is accessed down steps, tucked away but perfect for enjoying an evening meal in the sunshine, or for watching the sun rise over the Dart valley with a morning cup of coffee. A gas BBQ makes entertaining the family in the summer sun a must!

This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £250, which is payable to Blueriver Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.


We have stayed here a couple of times and absolutely love the house, location and the distance we are to the town easy walking distance. We will be returning! Great communication from Blue river. Very helpful.
