Description

Designed by the Architect owner and his wife, Runic House proudly sits on the hillside between Inner and Outer Hope Cove, offering spectacular views out to sea and beyond. Runic House benefits from some of the latest cutting edge technology, with Control4 Home Automation System throughout, at the touch of a button you can control the lighting, music and heating in each of the rooms. 

With Runic's elevated position, it has been thoughtfully designed to blend in with its coastal and countryside surroundings. The roof has been planted with Sedum, the curves of the property represent the curves of the waves and the garden has been carefully planted with wildflowers - a haven for wildlife. 

Runic House is nothing short of luxurious living and all easily accessible by the touch of a button. With four double bedrooms and en-suites, sauna and steam room, an exceptional high-spec kitchen/dining room and gorgeous sea views, Runic House is the perfect retreat for groups of friends or families wishing to submerge themselves into one of the most iconic properties within Hope Cove. 

The property boasts light, open, social living space throughout. On the top floor you'll find the open plan kitchen/dining room, at one end sits the extremely well equipped kitchen, benefitting from two dishwashers, two ovens and service lift. At the other end sits the dining area, seating eight comfortably. To ensure maximum light, a glass balustrade has been installed, looking down to the living area where the light pours in from the floor to ceiling sliding doors. The living room captures those glistening sea views and from its balcony, throw open those enormous sliding doors and let the sea breeze pour through the house and watch the sun melt into the sea. The architect has cleverly designed two of the bedrooms with in-room bathrooms, from which you can see the view whilst brushing your teeth at the his and her basins.  In the master bedroom there are uninterrupted views out to sea and across to the South West Coastal path on Bolt Tail, all from the comfort of your bed, perfect for those lazy Sunday mornings.

Hope Cove is made up of two sandy beaches, with Inner hope only a 5 minute walk from Runic House. Both beaches offer calm sheltered waters, great for anyone wishing to take out their kayaks or paddle boards. Hope Cove is also home to the Hope and Anchor pub and The Cove, a popular café bar that serves late breakfasts and sunset suppers just a stone's throw from the scenic beach. More recently opened and only moments from Runic House is the restaurant at Hope Cove House, sister restaurant to Six Portland Road in London, offering modern British seafood, perfect for any celebratory meal. For those who love to walk and explore, Hope Cove sits on the South West Coast Path, to the west you'll stumble across South Milton Sands where the famous Beach House proudly sits, recently voted in The Guardian's Top 10 Beach Bars in Europe and in the other direction is Bolberry Downs, both offering breath-taking scenery.

Security Deposit This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £350, which is payable to Blueriver Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.
