This delightful retreat offers both tranquility in a superb setting as well as fabulous nearby walks joining the South West Coastal path and nearby  Westcombe Beach and Ayrmer Cove. Accessible only on foot, these hidden coves offer stunning scenery, seclusion and boast being dog friendly all year round. Within a short car drive are the other outstanding places to visit, Bigbury-on-Sea, Modbury, Salcombe and Dartmouth, true jewels in South Devon's crown. Set in a beautifully fragrant garden with an abundance of flowers, shrubs and fruit, Higherwell Cottage is a haven for birds and wildlife and offers the most wonderful dawn chorus. From indoors, the harmonious feel continues with original artwork adorning the walls and the country cottage styled interior. Sleeping 5 and benefitting from a three bedrooms (one of which is ground floor with a shower/wc in the next room), this spacious cottage has a well designed kitchen and dining room, conservatory room and living room with fabulous garden views, utility room and separate loo. Higherwell Cottage gives relaxation in a stunning setting and all within a close proximity to some of Devon's most scenic villages and coastal areas. Furthermore, bring along your two well behaved dogs on your stay and explore this beautifully area together.

Utility Room: Indesit washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer 

Family Bathroom: Thermostatic shower in cubicle (with seat), hand basin, w.c

Bedroom 1: King Size (5'0'') bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables, settee, 28'' TV

First Floor

Bedroom 2: King Size (5'0") bed, blanket box, bedside cabinets, 20'' TV (views over Bigbury Bay on clear day)

Ensuite:  Bath and washbasin

Bedroom 3: Single (2'6") child's bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, velux window (fields and distant sea view on clear day) 

W/C Room: w/c with hand basin

 

Garden: Large garden with lawned area, trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants. Fruit and veg available certain times of the year and may be picked. An outside barn is available for storage if required (unsecured). Seating area in various locations, log pit for al fresco cooking.

Parking: Parking for 4 or more vehicles on driveway and 1 undercover space in car porch.

Changeover Day: Saturday- Arrival 4:00pm - Departure 11:00am

Security Deposit: This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £200, which is payable to Blueriver Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.

Power and Heat: Oil and electricity are included in rent. 

Bed Linen and Towels: Bed linen and towels are provided (please bring your own beach towels)

Notes - No Smoking. Two Dogs allowed, downstairs only and please clean off after any walks. Baby Equipment is not provided, please bring your own. WiFi Provided. Good mobile phone coverage. Please provide your own coal or logs for the woodburner/garden fire pit which can be purchased locally.
