This was our second visit to Marina Lodge - we really love it. We had breakfast on the balcony each morning overlooking the River Dart, the steam railway, Dartmouth, the Naval College and the marina; what could be better?! There are so many wonderful things to do from this fabulous location: The National Trust house Coleton Fishacre, which is beautiful, the ferry or walk to Dartmouth Castle, Berry Head, the railway, Greenway - the list is endless. Marina Lodge itself is also very special, with well equipped and lovely rooms and a view from the bath which is amazing. We very much hope to return next year. Thank you.Marion from Nailsworth - 16th July 2016
A fantastic place to stay View to die for Peace and Quite So relaxing just didn't want to leave Cant say enough good things about Marina Lodge We cant honestly remember being so relaxed whilst on Holiday Watching the Steam train (and hearing it) from the balcony is just great It was everything we had hoped for, and more Thank you so much for a lovely property to stay inDean Gray from Essex - 28th May 2016
Excellent location with stunning views
We spent a relaxing weekend in Kingswear and highly recommend the area for river trips, walking and access to Dartmouth. Property well located for ferries and boat trips around Dartmouth, steam train and easy parking in the marina. Would have been five stars but for dated decor and lack of central heating - has effective storage heating and wood burner. Comfortable and well equipped otherwise. Good WiFi.Wendy from Bath - 20th September 2015
Perfect location, fantastic views, well equipped property
The uninterrupted views from this property across to Dartmouth are magnificent and the property provided exactly the right accomodation for us. Every home comfort was provided from an assortment of food in the cupboard to a day sack in the hall. Small problem with a tap was dealt with on the same day by the Blueriver team. Excellent service.Dave and Gill from Enfield - 15th August 2015
Marina Lodge is a beautiful house with the most fabulous views - we just loved it. I stayed with my elderly mother and two teenage sons, and all of us were so sorry to leave. A very convenient place to stay - the parking permit was brilliant - you can easily not use your car at all during your holiday, as ferries, boats trains and buses are right on the doorstep. The house is very accommodating with everything on hand, comfortable and convenient. It was very helpfull to be able to have the main bedroom bed converted to twin beds for my Mother and I. My sons loved their double rooms too. ( Sadly the wifi did not work, but I believe this is temporary) The only problem was the window would not open in the smallest bedroom - but it was not hot when we stayed, so this did not pose too great a difficulty for us. Blue River Cottages were excellent too - very efficient throughout the booking process and extremely welcoming when we visited them in their Dartmouth offices.Marion from Stroud - 16th July 2015
We had a very delightful stay in the cottage with wonderful views.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your cottage, Mr Humpage found the steep hills a bit taxing being slightly disabled but the inconvenience was doubly rewarded with a magnificent view and comfortable accommodation. What a wonderful place Dartmouth is so beautiful and so many things to see and do we were sad when we had to leave and would dearly love to come back again. The cottage provides all necessary equipment needed and we were very comfortable. Some locks are needed on the shower room/toilet doors to avoid embarrassment and a blind or curtain would be a good addition in the downstairs bathroom.Don, Debbie and Welsh friends - 11th July 2015
Very enjoyable,wonderful views.
Great position with wonderful views of river and steam trains. Two balconies at rear of house to sit out on and take in the views. Nice house ,well furnished and good colour scheme but would be nice if bedroom windows at the front of house could be opened to let in some air! I did get in touch with the agents re this but nothing useful happened. Local shop ,car park and ferries very close.Trina from Sussex - 24th May 2015
Marina Lodge is a confortable place with marvellous views of Dartmouth. Kingswear is a very quite village, ideal for a rest.Isabel from Birmingham - 11th April 2015
Very enjoyable and very relaxing
Marina Lodge was well equipped but was lacking on comfortable seating for six people in the lounge, and the main living area i.e. kitchen and lounge were rather cold until the fire had been going for a while. The views from the lodge were amazing. It is a shame there is no parking with the property, as we parked in the marina for the week and it added a considerable sum to our expenditure for the week.Perhaps it would be worth considering re-imbursing tennants on production of their parking reciepts, as this may lead to more bookings.Phil from Stroud - 3rd January 2015
Relaxing, helped by the stay in a well maintained cottage.Iain from Shropshire - 30th August 2014
