Wonderful views. Quiet location. Lucky with the weather.
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and comfortable and perfect for our needs in terms of bedrooms and bathrooms. And we loved all the quirky bits and bobs. We had to override the heating settings as it seemed to be set only to be on for an hour in the morning and about 3 hours in the evening, but it was easy to put it on when we needed it and off when we were out or at night. Being without wifi was a bit of a problem since all the tourist information referred you to websites. The views were so wonderful we just sat drinking tea for ages in the mornings in the upstairs room watching the egret feeding. Daphne from Monmouth - 18th April 2016
Lovely house and great location
We really enjoyed our stay at Genista. It is a lovely house with everything for a perfect holiday. It should come with a parking permit as the parking space is only suitable for small cars. We would love to come back!Isabel and Alex from Nottingham - 23rd May 2015
Excellent Location and Views
My Partner booked the week as a surprise, so I did not have previous knowledge of where we were going. The property was excellent and as described. The views from the top balcony and terraces at ground floor level are lovely and perfect for sitting out with a glass or three. The top floor is very comfortable and has good facilities. The middle floor double bedrooms and family bathroom are perfectly acceptable. The small bedroom is odd as the door cannot be closed, yet has a double bed with a single bunk above; it would be more sensible to arrange that the door opens outwards instead? There was also only a small chest of drawers in this room....no room for anything else. The ground floor works well as one large "through" room of Kitchen , dining room and lounge. The Kitchen was well equipped but doesn't offer a lot of food storage cupboards...we had to rearrange the glasses to another Dining Room Cupboard to free a cupboard up ! The Dining Room and Lounge are good and comfortable. The outside terraces accessed through the front door are great.....lovely views. Pete, Derbyshire - 3rd October 2014
Great house in a perfect location
We stayed for Dart week. Perfect location. House very well equipped, but would have preferred twin beds, rather than King size. Great that we were able to book for 9 nights. Mary and crew - 1st September 2014
Amazing house with beautiful views
Really enjoyed our stay at South Devon in Genista, everything was perfect all the family loved it. Blue River Cottages I found were very helful, the girls in the office were lovely to talk to. Delightful Easter Break!
We had a lovely family holiday at Genista during the Easter holidays. There were many thoughtful touches provided by the owner such as handwash, lotion and kitchen roll. Lovely bedlinen and towels was much appreciated. We will return! Lisax - 24th April 2014

Great Holiday, Good Location,
We stayed at Genista at spring bank 2013 and had a great holiday. The property was plenty big enough for us all (6 adults, 2 children and 1 baby). Genista suited our needs and we were in a great location to travel to different places and the views from the property were brilliant!!. We would visit Devon and this property again. Family from West Yorkshire - 1st June 2013
