Situated one mile from the pretty estuary village of Noss Mayo, Hobbit Cottage is a beautiful Grade II listed Barn conversion which makes up Rowden Court, which once formed part of the Revelstoke Estate. The cottage is surrounded by landscaped communal gardens and shared Tennis Court with outdoor dining areas for everyone to enjoy.
This charming, mid-terraced cottage provides a comfortable and homely stay. Hobbit Cottage is full of character with many original features still visible, such as exposed beams throughout the open-plan kitchen/living/dining room and two wonderful curved windows at the front and a large curved window to the rear, overlooking the central communal garden. On the first floor is a good sized shower-room and bedroom, featuring a king-size bed.
All of the cottages share a communal laundry/games room, including table tennis, dart board, washing machines and tumble driers (coin operated). As well as a barbeque area with picnic tables, great for unwinding after a long day spent exploring the many delights the South Hams has to offer.
The beautiful South West Coast Path is less than half a mile away, dramatic Stoke Beach with its cliffs is just down the hill, and Mothecombe Beach and the popular School House Restaurant on the Erme estuary is 4 miles along the coast road. This part of the South Hams is great for dog lovers, where you can walk immediately from the cottage onto some of the most stunning coastal paths and many of the beaches allow dogs, all year round.
The twin villages of Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo enjoy a delightful riverside setting on the wooded slopes of the estuary of the River Yealm. A haven for boat lovers, kayakers and paddle boarders. At low tide it is possible to cross the river from Noss Mayo over to Newton Ferrers, on foot. There are two fantastic, waterside pubs in Noss Mayo aswell a Art Gallery and across the river in Newton Ferrers is another good pub, butchers, convenience store, pharmacy, post office, cafe and The Yealm Yacht Club.

Security Deposit: This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £100, which is payable to Blueriver Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.
Pets Welcome: Maximum 1 Pet; £25 per Pet per week. Your Dog must be kept on a lead within the grounds of Rowden Court.
Power and Heat: Heating Electricity included in rent. Electric Panel Heater in Living Area, Shower Room and Master Bedroom.
Baby Equipment: Baby equipment isn't provided, however you're welcome to bring your own travel cot and highchair.
