Buckland House is stunning Georgian property surrounded by 2.5 acres of charming grounds tucked away in a peaceful valley in the pretty village of Slapton. Comfortably sleeping 14 in 7 bedrooms this property is ideal for larger parties who are looking to celebrate an event or enjoy a lovely family break. Just 2 miles away is Blackpool Sands with Kingsbridge and Dartmouth only a 15 minute drive away, this holiday destination offers something to everybody.
When booking the property all guests receive a 25% reduction for the use of the leisure facilities at The Best Western Dartmouth Hotel, Golf and Spa. This provides perfect entertainment for a rainy day as you can pleasure in the use of the indoor swimming pool and the gym.
Sitting rooms there are two separate sitting rooms providing plenty of space for all members to enjoy and relax. The Blue room has a freeview TV, woodburner and dual aspect windows with views of the enclosed front garden.
The Red room serves the needs for anyone looking for peace and quiet to read a book or perhaps to let the children recline in after a long day and watch the TV or a DVD. With an open log fire providing extra heat this room is the ideal place to take a break and make yourself at home. This property has underfloor heating but during the colder months of October to March a starter pack of logs is provided for the wood burners.
Kitchen/dining area the large kitchen contains a feature Rangemaster cooker with a 5 ring hob and hot plate, dishwasher and an American style fridge/freezer. The stylish black kitchen surfaces provide plenty of space to prepare meals whilst socializing with friends and family at the dining table.

Conservatory located at the back of the property and with a fabulous views of the grounds. It provides a wood burning stove and a dining table with chairs. Alternatively it is a lovely space to enjoy a BBQ dinner when the evenings are slightly colder as the patio doors lead onto the terraced area rear gardens & ponds..
Master bedroom contains twin zip linked 3ft beds and its own en-suite. It provides a large wooden wardrobe and there is still plenty of room for a travel cot if you wanted to have a little one in with you.
Bedroom 2 on the ground floor sleeps 2 in a double bed with an en-suite shower room. This room contains a small kitchen area, great for a couple who like their own peace and quiet. With a doors leading out to the patio area and conservatory with beautiful views towards the grounds.

Bedrooms 4 and 5 both sleep 2 in twin beds these rooms are both adequately equipped with fitted furniture and enjoy the fabulous views around.
Bedroom 6 a set of full size bunk beds can be found in this, appropriate for adults as well as making this a fun room for children to sleep in.
Bedroom 7 sleeps 2 in a double bed and provides a decorous wardrobe as well as including a separate wash basin.
Bathrooms with 5 separate bathrooms this large property really does generate comfort and convenience for every guest. On the ground floor you can find a shower room with a power shower, wash basin and WC. This is a great room to shower down the kids after a long day of water sports at the beach. The master bedroom contains its own private en-suite containing a bath with a power shower overhead, wash basin, WC and heated towel rail. Positioned in bedroom 3 is another separate en-suite with a large generous step in shower, wash basin, WC and heated towel rail. The family bathroom is also located on the first floor and provides a facility for the remaining upstairs bedrooms. Games room contains a piano, various children's games and a Bar Billiards table with a full explanation and set of rules on the wall.
Outside space Buckland House is surrounded by beautiful grounds and spectacular wildlife.
There is a large enclosed front garden, great for children to run around in safely with lawns and a tranquil patio area containing garden furniture which is a blissful place to sit and revel in the atmosphere. There is also a big enough area to hold a marquee at the owner's discretion therefore, a wonderful pace to host a garden wedding or any celebrations. The rear gardens and ponds are overlooked by the conservatory and terraced area. Edging the property are further well-kept grounds of approximately 1.5 acres. This includes a climbing frame and fun area for children as well as BBQ’s to cook up many delicious meals. In front of the conservatory you can also find duck ponds with free roaming ducks wondering the grounds. These beautiful grounds create a pleasant and exciting feel to your holiday and help you let yourself go and enjoy your getaway.
This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £500, which is payable to Blueriver Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.
Buckland House is a lovely property in a beautiful setting. It is well equipped and the grounds are large and well maintained. Slapton and the surrounding countryside and coast are stunning and well worth a visit.
