The fact you are reading this review I guess you are considering staying at Buckland. The best advice I can give is to stop considering and do it - without any hesitation. Superbly located in rolling farm land within easy reach of all Devon's wonderful attractions, The House is architecturally breathtaking, furnished with style, flair and innovation. Tucked away in the lanes, quiet and peaceful, Buckland House is an imposing and appealing feature of the landscape. Inside the design and attention to detail is great. Traditional kitchen equipped with everything - and more - you might need. Beautiful slate floor leading to extensive conservatory and spacious lounges. Seven bedrooms, delightfully decorated and furnished, comfortable beds with crisp linens and modern en-suiite bathrooms. Furnished patio area, barbecue, games room. All areas impeccably clean and maintained. You may have guessed that our three generations loved our time at Buckland and are delighted to recommend it. Mr Pickles - 27th October 2017
Lovely big house and great space for a large group. It was very comfortable and clean but obviously well lived in so we could relax and feel at home. Richard met us on arrival and showed us around and made us feel very welcome. There is some lovely country side and coast nearby and we enjoyed canoeing on some of the local rivers. A car and steady nerves required for narrow windy lanes. Would thoroughly recommend this place for large groups or family events. Mrs Gibbs - 8th September 2017
I'd recommend this property unreservedly. The house is spacious, beautifully furnished with a great open living/dining area. There is also a lovely outside dining area with BBQ which we used on the warmer evenings. It was in very good condition, clean and well maintained with all we needed in terms of utilities, entertainment etc. Outside the kids loved playing in the garden. Richard couldn't have been more helpful, providing additional information on things to do and dealing with the minor problems that did arise. Had a great week. Mrs Pallin - 18th August 2017
We spent the last week of the school summer holidays here and were very lucky with the weather. The children loved the swings and ducks and the garden was great to relax in, a real suntrap to enjoy a sundowner. Our dog Bim was able to wander in and out freely as the front garden is completely dog proof! The house was great, everything we needed was provided, even the crabbing buckets! All in all a great break and in a lovely spot, very relaxing and peaceful but not far away from all the beaches. Mr Middleton - 11th August 2017
