Sea Peep Cottage is a traditional two bedroom terraced holiday cottage in the very popular St Marychurch area of Torquay. It received its name in the 50s when a distant clear view of the sea could be seen towards Paignton and Brixham. In the last decade, the trees have flourished and now just in Winter the view can be fully appreciated. The cottage overlooks the historic local church and pretty gardens and is only a very short stroll to the local pedestrianised shopping area with a fine selection of everyday shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. The local precinct also boasts three mid size supermarkets so everything is on hand for a family self catering holiday. The accommodation is traditionally furnished in a typical cottage style and is an ideal base for a couple or small family visiting the area. The attractions of Babbacombe & St Marychurch are all within easy walking distance as are beaches and the scenic 'Babbacombe Downs' which overlook the South Devon coastline. Buses stop only a short walk away so visitors can explore the whole area easily without the use of a car. Sea Peep cottage provides an excellent base for a very affordable family holiday in Torquay.

Quiet location just a short walk to the Babbacombe sea front, but all amenities close by for a relaxing holiday.A previous customer - 9th December 2016
We stayed for two weeks at Sea Peep cottage, first thing I want to say is if you travel by train I'd suggest avoiding a taxi and catch bus (number 22 near station will take you to St Marychurch CO-OP then just walk up precinct). Also I'd suggest getting a weekly bus pass (if you dont get concessions as buses take you to all attractions). The cottage is in a row of cottages but is very quiet. It is well set out and furnished. Bathroom is really good, Kitchen has everything you need. Dining room is ok, and front room is cosy and comfy, freesat is much better than freeview and is welcome addition. There is DVD player and video player along with CD player. Stairs are steep double bedroom is well furnished and has TV in room. However for our tastes the mattress was far too soft and I had very difficult time trying to get a full nights sleep. The twin room really needs updating the furniture is very old and dark and makes the room feel like you are in grannys room. I'd suggest getting same pine furniture as other bedroom. also uplighters make both rooms very dark. However they are clean and have lots of wardrobe space. The Garden is lovely and a real suntrap but as others have said it could do with sun loungers in addition to table & chairs. Neighbour was friendly but not imposing on your time. I'd suggest that a revamp of twin bedroom, get rid of pay phone nearly everyone has a mobile phone and replace it with WiFi which is needed. Also replace uplighting shades to get light in. However overall this is a lovely cottage and these criticisms are hopefully to make it even better. A little on the area you have everything you need a CO-OP, a Sainsburys, fruit and veg shop, bakers (nice pasties), butchers (quite cheap), cafes, newsagents, boots, and lots of little shops. We did visit the Snooty Fox but wouldn't go in again. Cash machines are at CO-OP, Sainsburys, and TSB. Model Village is 10 minute walk from cottage, Cliff Railway about 12 mins. Bygones museum is 10 mins away and well worth a visit. We found The Bucaneer pub near cliff railway was lovely and food was brilliant and fresh Overall we would go back to Sea Peep. I'd recommend it too so you wont be disappointed area and cottage are lovely.A previous customer - 11th September 2016
Excellent location very near the sights of St Marychurch and Babbacombe. At the house itself there is no feeling of being in a touristy area since it is part of a terrace of houses lived in by local residents. The owners' description of the property is accurate.A previous customer - 24th August 2016

Lovely cottage, has all a family of 4 needs. Great Location, would highly recommend. There are shops very close by for provisions and the cottage is in a quiet area. This is our third visit and may well not be our last.A previous customer - 11th August 2016

the cottage was very nice lots to do with shops and puds just a few mins away. lots of things to do all in all great holiday. parking not bad could be better but not a big problem.A previous customer - 8th September 2015
Good location as regards coastal walks, beaches, shops, Model Village, and local buses. The house itself was accurately described on the website. It has a homely feel to it (at least as much as any holiday home can). I often need to stay in Torquay, and will certainly consider coming back to Sea Peep.A previous customer - 27th August 2015
A previous customer - 28th July 2015
Great location.lovely peaceful area.WiFi is definitely needed.one bathroom for four impractical.sink in bedroom would be useful. Parking right outside is very handy.deck chairs would have been appreciated in garden.only table a d chairs. We're available.A previous customer - 14th July 2015
My husband thought the place was a lot better than he thought it would be. No complains other than it the directions to get there wasn't as straight forward as it seemed online. It also didn't mentioned in the holiday brochure that the location was right next to a church but again it was enjoyable experience and we loved our holiday.A previous customer - 31st May 2015
Comfortable cottage, which really gives you a feel of staying in a 'real home'. Not luxurious, but very clean and well equipped. The location was great, we loved walking down to the beach before before breakfast. Service from the agency was excellent. We were a 'late booking' and the key for the property arrived the day after we booked! Thanks to all.A previous customer - 3rd May 2015

Loved the new back garden and of course very convenient, close to shops and my sisters pub. The carpet is pretty awful and needs to be replaced. Otherwise very satisfied. The view from the back is lovely at night seeing the village from above.A previous customer - 29th September 2014

Excellent service from Holiday Homes & Cottages. I would receommend Sea Peep Cottage - comfortable and convenient - very satisfied. Thank You.Mr D - Aberystwyth - 14th June 2014
Had a lovely stay here in April, the cottage is small but was perfectly adequate for two adults and two teenagers. The cottage had all we needed except wi-fi for the teenagers! The arrangements all worked out fine and the location was fantastic. The only slight issue was the difficulty with parking which wasn't too bad for us in April but wonder how difficult it might be in summer.A previous customer - 19th May 2014
