Description

Manderley is a stylish quality conversion of a fine Victorian Villa. The apartment is situated in a lovely leafy and quiet location in the very popular Chelston area of Torquay, easily reached from the train station or with private parking. It's in a very convenient location, the beaches Torre Abbey, Corbyn Head and Livermead are only a short walk away and the Yacht Marina, Harbourside and Torquay town centre are slightly further on. There are lovely sea glimpses from the living/dining room.
The apartment is accessed by a communal lobby with stairs to the apartment’s entrance on the first floor. Beyond the entrance there is a very spacious inner hallway.

Living/Dining very large room with 2 very comfortable two-seater sofas, a large flat screen TV with freeview and a DVD player, free Wi-Fi connection provided, a smart wooden dining table and 6 matching chairs.

Living Room 2 the apartment has a second living room that can also be used as the third bedroom, the sofa can be used as a sofa bed and is the size of a double bed when pulled out. A wardrobe, chest of drawers and bookshelf.

Kitchen is stylish modern suite that comes with a gas hob, a built in electric oven, microwave, a built in fridge and freezer, a washer/dryer and a dishwasher.

Bedroom 1 king-size bed, two bedside cabinets with lamps, a tall and a standard chest of drawers. This bedroom comes with an ensuite. There is a second television above the wardrobe.

Bedroom 2 has the second king-size bed with two bedside cabinets and bedside lamps. There are two wardrobes available for guests use throughout their stay.

Bathroom ensuite bathroom with a corner shower unit, wash basin and WC. This family bathroom has a bath with a wall mounted shower, WC and hand basin.

Outside Space furnished decked terrace. This terrace is private to Manderley.

Parking There is one private car park space provided with Manderley. A second car could be parked immediately in front of the first car if guests to Manderley wished to bring two vechicles and could share access.

 

Changeover Day: Saturday - arrival 15:00 (3pm) - departure 10:00 (10am)

Security Deposit: This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £250, which is payable to Blueriver Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.

Excellent accommodation with a lovely balcony. Very peaceful area with a lovely walk through a wooded area to Cockington village not far away. Didn't need to use the car once we arrived as the property is ideally located close to the rail station and local bus stops. I would definitely try to book the apartment again if I holiday in Torquay in the future.

Manderley is easily accessed whether you have a car or wish to travel by train as the railway station is conveniently nearby. The property is simply magnificent, and no expense has been spared on all furnishings … the TV in the lounge is a huge curved Smart TV with access to Netflix, Catch Up and full internet. For those wishing to keep in touch whilst away, the internet speed is really fast - for those wanting to chill out (weather permitting), the roof top patio area is absolutely splendid and equipped with two tables with chairs and 4 loungers, added bonus of a sea view. The property is close enough to be able to walk to the sea front within 5 or 6 minutes. Could not fault anything with this beautiful, spacious apartment and we shall be returning !!

First impressions were very good, a lovely Victorian building in a lovely setting, we had lovely views from our lounge window and a sea view which made it even better. The building is beautiful with lovey high ceilings and tastefully decorated throughout. The sofas and seating is very comfortable within the lounge area with a massive TV which has Netflix installed which is good for the kids to chill out on in the evening. The kitchen has everything you need for your stay and the en-suite and the family bathroom are spot on, lovely showers in both rooms. the bedrooms are comfortable with plenty of wardrobe and drawers space for your stay. But the thing we loved the best was the outside Terrace/Patio... lovely seating area with great views and a sun trap for any sun bathing you might like to do.. we had a barbecue on the terrace and the kids loved.. perfect... All in all a lovely spot to have an holiday.. wish we had booked it for a longer period.
