Excellent service from Holiday Homes & Cottages - professional and friendly. I would book Waves End again and recommend it - it's a lovely house - a 'Home from home'.Mr S - Croydon - 29th October 2016
A beautiful very well equipped holiday home realy spacious and everything of good quality. My husband myself daughter who is sixteen and our dog never wanted to leave.luckily the weather was very pleasant to us so we managed to use both upstairs and downstairs verandas, locacation is brill and we travelled new places everyday and spent the evenings laying in comfy and warm waves end .our dog loved the run across the fields at the back and a snuggle near the fire at night.I celebrated my 50th birthday and 30th wedding anniversary there and we are left with beautiful memories, thankyou for a lovely time xA previous customer - 12th October 2016
Our visit to Waves End was most enjoyable. We were a mixed age family group. Grandparents, our son and daughter in law and their three year old twin girls.Pluss one dog. The house was perfect. Clean, well equiped, even down to some toy's for the girls. The cricket field out back, leading to the cliff tops, was just the job for dog walking and the well equiped garden was just the thing for that evening drink to recover from our days spent at one of the wonderful coves in the area. A diagram of just where we could park the cars would have been a help, so as not to upset the neighbours.( What to us were the obvious spots, were in fact not the right spots.) Thicker pillows, and spare light bulbs are also suggestions. But these are only small points. All in all our stay was all we could have wished for and we would recommend Waves End to family and friends.A previous customer - 14th September 2016
Loved the property and location, house was clean and comfortable, only one slight niggle double bed matress was a tad uncomfortable but still Booking for next yearA previous customer - 7th September 2016
A nice clean house in a good location to all amenities. Plenty of room and can sleep up to 8 people but there are 2 double bunk beds. Kitchen is adequate but needs new crockery and a few extra pans would have been nice. Overall a satisfactory holiday and would return if holidaying in Torquay again.A previous customer - 7th September 2016
Our stay at Waves End was fantastic, brilliantly located with Babbacombe and Oddicombe beach in one direction and Anstys cove in the other and all in roughly 10min walk of each other. Our days were filled with the fun of exploring the areas and taking in the sites. We also booked an afternoon with 'Rock Solid Coasteering' which i thoroughly recommend as it's just so much fun for all the family. We took in a boat trip from Torquay to Dartmouth and came back on the steam train. These tours are advertised well within Torquay town centre. Also went on a ghost tour of Kents Caven which was thrilling. Great week with fantastic memories for us all !A previous customer - 17th August 2016
Excellent service from Holiday Homes & Cottages - booking was fab & easy. I recommend Waves End and would book it again - we enjoyed our stay very much and are hoping to return next year.Mrs N - Bedord - 6th August 2016
Our 3rd time at Waves End and excellent as always, it is now our favourite holiday destination. Many thanks to Tracy the caretaker for help with our arrival time.A previous customer - 15th June 2016
Eight of us - three adults, three children and two infants - spent Christmas at Waves End. The house was ideal and the agency kindly put up a tree for us! Cooking Christmas dinner was easy as the kitchen goods were simple to use, as was doing laundry for such a big crowd! The Wii proved to be a big hit and there were books and DVDs to keep us entertained, plus a fair few toys. One thing I did worry about was there being no stairgate... But this has been thought of already (although it took a while to get the knack of it). There was no wifi, which forced the kids to stay off their devices (!) and was no bad thing, and the parking was a wee bit tight for two cars. Aside from that, no complaints! We're already considering a summer return as the property is so close to our father's home and is really well located for the attractions we've come to love over the years. A clean, smart, modern home that I didn't want to leave!A previous customer - 1st January 2016
This house is definitely a home away from home, well equipped and ideally positioned for exploring the area. It is particularly handy if you have a dog or energetic children, as from the back gate you can access a playing field and the coastal path. Our only gripe is that the property is described as having 2 parking spaces - I would dispute this, as the neighbour parks in such a way as to prevent this!A previous customer - 17th October 2015
We had a lovely holiday and would definitely stay at Waves End again if we are holidaying in that area. It is very clean, comfortable and we'll maintained.A previous customer - 8th October 2015
I booked Waves End to accommodate family from abroad for a reunion. The house was perfect, clean, light, warm and with plenty of room for eating and socialising . Easy access to nearby town and facilities. Highly recommended.A previous customer - 24th September 2015
This is our second stay in this holiday home and as last year we found it to be very comfortable - there is plenty of space and it is well equipped. One area that could be improved is the carpet in the main bedroom which could do with a thorough clean as there are one or two large dark stains. It would also be nice if there was a pouffe in the lounge to put the aching feet up at the end of the day (think I made this comment last year too!). Considering the cost of the holiday home, we were surprised to find there is still no internet access, however, this would not put us off booking another holiday here.A previous customer - 11th September 2015
We enjoyed a very pleasant week. The house was very comfortable with thoughtful consideration to detail and accessible to amenities for all. Thank youA previous customer - 18th August 2015
We stayed in Waves End 20-27 June2015 The cottage was very spacious, beautifully done out and very well equipped with anything you would require during your stay. We loved the veranda from the master bedroom, the view was wonderful and a great area to have breakfast taking in those views. Two bathrooms, both very large (one with an amazing shower) was a bonus. We will definitely be returning soon. Jean & MichaelA previous customer - 8th July 2015
nice spacious accommodation. All mod cons.good garden area.. comfie beds Just a few minor points... dvd player didn't work perhaps plug socket covers needed...with crawling kids present parking a little tricky...but coped OKA previous customer - 7th July 2015
We had a great week staying in this very comfortable home from home. The house was very clean and very well equip, there was even milk in the fridge on arriving . The house was only a few minutes walk from the beautiful beach at babbacombe and easy reach of Torquay. I would definitely come back again and recommended it to friends and family.A previous customer - 2nd June 2015
Take two middle aged adults, one heavily pregnant. Add a dash of a (nearly) 3 year old and mix in a hefty 15 year old pooch with a dodgy back leg. Has the makings of a potential horror story. Thankfully this holiday home was a great little place to stay and stopped us from having an I know what you did last summer moment. It was a quiet, peaceful little area close to the shops for all of us to walk without to much hassle, convenient to drive to some of the more accessible beaches (we didn't attempt Babbacombe or Oddicombe beaches - for obvious reasons given the make up of our party but that didnt stop us having a grand time. The house was lovely. Kitchen spacious. Garden fantastic for all. Bedrooms very comfortable. Bathrooms amazing. Genuinely one of the better places we have stayed in since coming to Devon for the last 6 years. However, the only down point (and its not that big a negative) was that there is no wi-fi connection. The house seems to be based on the border of two network masts as we couldnt get any signal whatsoever. Which meant that we tried to rely on wi-fi to either stay in contact with nervous relatives based on the In Utero condition of Mumma to be. Ah. But there was no wi-fi. So it meant having to leave the house to walk to the end of the street to either get 3g/4g to send messages or get a couple of bars to call through to people. It also meant we couldnt look up places on the phones/ipad to check what was dog friendly before planning a day out or actually having to leave the house and then working out what to do whilst driving. Like I say, not a great issue as it was relaxing to not have the constant blaring of phones going off with messages, but it would be nice to have the actual option of using wi-fi in todays society. Didnt detract from a lovely holiday and will be recommending.A previous customer - 12th March 2015
I rented this accommodation for my family from NewZealand and Brighton, nine in all, and they were delighted with Waves End. It could not have been more suitable. Thank you.A previous customer - 7th January 2015
We stayed in Waves End in October 2014. It was a lovely house with excellent facilities, a real home from home. So many helpful little touches such as dishwashers tablets, tea, coffee and milk in the fridge on arrival. The decor in the property is fresh and clean. The leather seating and laminate/wood flooring throughout is ideal for anyone, like me, who has allergies but also requires dog friendly accomodation. Parking in the cul-de-sac is not the greatest but this shouldn't detract from a stay at the house, just be aware that it would not be possible to have more than two cars park near the house. Being unfamiliar with the area I was surprised by the steep paths down to the adjacent beaches which are not very suitable for families who are not used to strenuous walking. Neverthelss, this also means the house is ideally located for some lovely (relatively easy) cliff top walks and some more challenging routes.A previous customer - 3rd November 2014
A lovely clean and well equipped holiday home. An ideal location (great if you have a dog as fields at the back) and within walking distance of the beach (just don't have too many bags to carry!) The home was very clean and tidy and had everything we could have asked for. Would have been nice if had wi-fi and also a pouffe - needed to put feet up each night after busy days! Settees were fine but not the most comfortable if seated for a while - but those are just small things. Really enjoyed stay and will consider going again.A previous customer - 9th September 2014
waves end is a fantastic holiday home that fully deserves top marks in all categories and we are already looking forward to booking next year.A previous customer - 24th June 2014
