Absolutely lovely house and grounds- weather was fantastic too so made our short break great. Discovery Homes could not have been more helpful so would thoroughly recommend them.L Sanders, West Sussex - 1st October 2015
We had a lovely time, the house was great and allowed me to have all the family to get together. Good times had by all.John, London - 1st January 2015
Wonderful! We had a fantastic long weekend for our family from USA and UK attending a celebration party in Torquay. The house was spacious, very welcoming and social and we had a most enjoyable stay. Lovely and warm (being November) and well equipped and comfortable. The whole experience was excellent and thoroughly recommended if you enjoy period homes.Sue, Dorset - 1st December 2014
We had a marvellous time at Longcroft House. It was a very comfortable and well equipped house, and ideal for our family group of two and a half month twins through to a ninety year old grandpa. The views over the bay were delightful and the location convenient for the centre of town. We loved it so much and will certainly make it our base for family gatherings in the future.Sue Oakey, Bristol - 1st October 2014
Spent an amazing weekend with a group of 12 ladies. The house was extremely comfortable, and we had a lovely stay. It was a bit of a walk to the town centre, but between a large group sharing a cab was no problem.Violette dos Santos, London - 1st July 2014
A wonderful short stay in the magnificent Longcrofy house. A real treat to stay in such a special place that has clearly been so well loved by its owners over the years. Fantastic for families with children as there are so many places to 'hide'.Kara from Sheffield - 1st May 2014
Thank you very much for letting us stay in this beautiful house. We had a lovely break and thoroughly enjoyed the accommodation. One thing we would like to bring to your attention was that the door knob to the twin bedroom ensuite broke came off in my hand while I was attempting to shut the door. We did try and fix this but we could not find the screw that secured the knob in place. We left all the parts minus the screw on the dresser top next to the door. I hope this has not caused any issue and apologies for not letting you know sooner but I had to work away for the remainder of last week without any phone or email signal. The door was able to be shut and secured with the lock while the handle awaited being fixed.Claire from Hitchin - 1st May 2014

5* stars ~ Wonderful place to stay, a great house that happily accommodated twelve of us. Everyone had an absolutely wonderful time and was really impressed by the property. Great location too! Will definitely be coming back to stay again!Max & friends, Hatfield - 1st March 2014
Beautiful House, lovely large rooms and perfect for large groups. It is a very sociable house with gorgeous views and we enjoyed our stay very much. The bed linen and towels provided were of a lovely quality. Great base for exploring the surrounding area. It is within walking distance into town, although could be a problem for some as it is quite an hilly area. There are a couple of small items that needed a bit of TLC but this did not affect the enjoyment of our holiday.Dawn & family, Berkshire - 1st February 2014
The best! Best house ever. Such a lovely feel to the house. Generations of family living there have given the patina to make a stay there magic.A previous customer - 1st September 2013
Brilliant! Great property for a 'three generation' getaway. Large, lofty, well-equipped house with a huge kitchen that everyone can gather in at once. Full of character, Victorian charm and artefacts. Lots of space to spread around if different people want to do different things. Fantastic garden and games room for the young (or young at heart!) The bus stops outside the property for quick trips into the centre of Torquay if you don't want to take the car - or if you want to walk in and catch the bus back. Beautiful views of Torbay from the house and grounds.A previous customer - 1st August 2013
5* ~ A fabulous holiday house with fantastic views. My family had a wonderful time and didn't want to leave. The cleanliness of the house was superb with beautifully clean fresh linen and towels. Would love to go back some time.Margaret & family from South Lanarkshire - 1st August 2013
Very relaxing! We felt totally relaxed in the house. Plenty of space and the kitchen was huge with a lovely big table for at least 12 people. The views from the bedrooms were stunning. The house is in a very quiet area of Torquay, the town is walkable but quite hilly.A previous customer - 1st July 2013
I just wanted to say that we returned from Longcroft House on Saturday having had a wonderful week !! The house exceeded our expectations and we were able to enjoy all of the lovely rooms and gardens with our whole family - including 2 from the USA who were totally knocked out by it - the sea views were breathtaking. Please pass on our thanks to the owners - it did feel as if we were guests in someone's home as opposed to a rental property which can be a bit impersonal. There is obviously so much history there -we loved the family photos and would have loved to know more about where everything came from. The Millar Family, Reading & USA - 1st May 2013
5* ~ We loved it! I booked the house for a surprise 80th birthday family get together for my Dad. Perfect choice of venue. The house has such friendly and welcoming feel to it, it;s very light, spacious and warm. The kitchen is fab, many hours were spent around the table! The views and garden are equally magical. The house would be suitable for all ages, our family age ranged 21 yrs - 80 yrs. Everyone felt sad to leave not only each other, but the lovely house too! I could rant for ages about all the lovely aspects of this house, but at the risk of boring anyone, I shall refrain. We would definitly recommend and rebook this property again.Mandy & family, Cornwall - 1st May 2013
