Beautiful cottage in quiet surroundings within walking distance to the Dartington shops. Both bedrooms were of an equal size, and the bed was very comfortable with one side being slightly softer than the other. (2 singles together) A lovely cream tea was waiting for us on arrival in the kitchen which was well stocked. Garden was large with a lovely sun house and pool. It was so nice to be able to take our dogs to such a nice place so they could enjoy their holiday as well. All in all highly recommended.Michelle & Andy from Stourbridge - 16th September 2016
An oasis of calm in a busy world.
The cottage is delightful, the beds supremely comfortable and the hosts welcoming.Judith - 19th August 2016
The cottage was charming, very well furnished and appointed. The extensive garden was private and simply wonderful-the best of English gardens. The cottage was very well located-easy walks to shops, pub and Dartngton Hall's shops, coffee house and events. There was a nearby garage. Totnes is nearby and easily accessible by car. Our hosts, John and Liz, were friendly and courteous. Overall, we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.Alan from Aberdeen - 15th July 2016

A lovely cottage in an idyllic setting, away from busy roads but walking distance to good shops.
Number 3 is delightful , the pictures in the brochure don't do it full justice. The same goes for the garden, it's much larger and so tranquil, the stream at the bottom is an utter delight as is the large summerhouse. Everything inside was to a very high standard and the mix of quality ceramics , Ornaments and furniture made me feel really at home. The bedrooms are large, warm and extremely well-furnished. If I can suggest one thing it would be that the rating should be at least four star, at three and half stars i nearly didn't book, I wanted a cottage close to Tanner Bates' Leatherschool at Dartington and this was a lovely walk to reach it, and flat! Not an easy place to find without better directions or sat nav. When I arrived there was a nicely set Devon tea awaiting. No wine, goodies or discount card, though. I did inform your office that I wasn't bringing a dog , and they reassured me this £20 would be refunded. The hot water problem was quickly sorted and I found it to be my fault not the lovely owners'Hazel from Barton-under-Needwood - 20th May 2016
3 lownards cottage, is a beautiful property, as is the charming garden.Ideal for sitting out, and taking refreshment, while watching the small shallow river at the end of the garden, an artists delight! Inside the cottage is very tastefully furnished with everything that would be required for a weeks holiday. When we arrived after a long drive,we found Liz, who lives next door, had left us scones etc. and tea, which was very welcomed, thanks! Totnes, the nearest town, close by is lovely, most of it very old and great to wander round, plus there is the river Dart, where I recommend the round trip on a bus, steam train, to Dartmouth, then the boat trip back to Totnes. This area is ideal for touring to Dartmoor, and many seaside resorts, pretty villages, just be aware the narrow roads seem to go on for ever, and easy to get lost!Heather, from Conwy - 5th June 2015
