Description

On the outskirts of Kingsbridge in South Devon is a quaint village called West Alvington, West Alvington plays host to a local Family Farm with beautiful countryside surroundings where The Meadows is located. This property is a modern barn conversion with traditional accents, the owners were keen to keep some of the original features from the barn such as the wooden eaves and the classic stone adding personality and flair to the barn. The location of this property is great for every type of holiday, with an additional large barn with a games room, including a Darts Board and Table Tennis there is also plenty of storage if you are bringing your surfboard, bicycles or even a small boat with you.

West Alvington is in a central location to some of the major towns in the area, Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Dartmouth and even Plymouth City. It's easy to jump in your car and drive to your next destination or if that doesn't tickle your fancy then think about walking to the village centre to catch the bus for the day, whatever suits you best or simply walk 10 minutes and find yourself in Kingsbridge town centre. 

The Meadows offer ample parking, an enclosed garden, patio and gravel area perfect for your four legged friends. The owners have made sure you'll always be comfortable with outside seating, two loungers and a fire pit to keep you warm on the Summer evenings just as the stars begin to come out. Inside the barn again, it has been comfort and ease of use first, on the ground floor there is a utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and a w.c., a large open plan kitchen and dining room with floor to ceiling bi folding doors which can be opened to let in the fantastic countryside air. The property also offers two ground floor twin rooms both with ensuites with views of the courtyard. On the first floor you'll find a large lounge with a smart TV and plush sofas and footrest and next to the lounge is a single bedroom with countryside views. On the second floor is the master suite with additional private lounge and Smart TV, and there is a family bathroom with bath and separate walk in shower.

Garden Garden and Patio area are fully enclosed with garden furniture provided. Charcoal Barbeque and Fire Pit are provided (Guests are to bring their own wood and charcoal). Within the Barn next to the house is the Games Room, Darts Board is available (Use at own risk).

Parking There is parking available in the enclosed garden and patio area on the gravel at the front of the house, there is enough parking for up to six vehicles on the driveway.

Changeover Day: Friday Arrival: 4:00pm - Departure: 10:00am.

Security Deposit: This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £250, which is payable to Blueriver Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay. 

Pets Welcome: Maximum of 2 pets; £25 per pet per week. 

Power and Heat: Oil and Electricity included in the rent. Oil Central Heating throughout the property. Underfloor Heating is on the Ground Floor. 

Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels are provided (Please bring your own beach towels). 

Baby Equipment: Travel Cot, Highchair, 2 Stair Gates (Ground Floor and Second Floor), Other equipment is not supplied. (Please bring your own bedding for the travel cot). 

Shop: 1 Mile Kingsbridge Town Pub: 0.4 Miles Ring 'O' Bells Pub

Notes - No Smoking. WiFi Provided. Strong mobile phone signal. Please be aware this is a working farm there are free range animals and children, please do not feed or touch the animals. If you have a dog with you then please make sure they do not jump the gate or fence that encloses The Meadows and that the dogs are kept on a lead at all times. Please be respectful of the livestock. If you are bringing a pet with you, please make sure that you clean up after your pet otherwise you may incur charges.

Outstanding light and airy barn conversion set in beautiful countryside. Everything has been carefully planned and executed to the highest standard. You can eat outside and admire the cows in the distance or you could watch the chickens march by. A wonderful experience all round and I will definitely return.
