Brixham Food & Drink
If you love fish, you will be hard pushed to find it fresher anywhere else and as you’d expect it’s a popular menu choice across the towns pubs and restaurants.
One of the nicest spots to eat, is RockFish, overlooking the harbour and run by chef and restauranteur Mitch Tonks. Fish dominates the menu as you would expect with an amazing choice of locally caught fish, which is brought in by the fishing boats a stone’s throw away.
The interestingly named Poop Deck restaurant which takes its name from the top deck of a sailing, offers another amazing array of fish dishes and is perfectly positioned on the main Quayside.
If you want to enjoy your meal in more informal surroundings then look no further than Simply Fish which also offers excellent take away Fish and Chips.
The Guardhouse Café is well worth the long walk to as it’s situated inside a Napoleonic fortress on Berry Head with its breath-taking views out to sea. Go there for an amazing breakfast or a cream tea as their scones are to die for.
