Shaldon, Teignmouth & Dawlish Food & Drink

Shaldon Food & Drink

There is so much choice of places to eat in this small village or nearby that there’s no excuse to not try a different venue every day of your holiday.

For fine dining enthusiasts, head for Ode Dining situated in a three storey Georgian townhouse in the heart of the village. Well known for its green credentials the menu features locally sourced ingredients, freshly line caught fish and local organic meat. The owners also run the award-winning ODE café which is a short walk away where you can enjoy the same excellent local food in more relaxed surroundings.

Serving up freshly, home cooked food throughout the day the Strand Café is a great place to enjoy a seafood platter with a chilled glass of white wine or an afternoon cup of tea served with a slice of home baked cake.

Teignmouth Food & Drink

Overlooking the main beach is the Beachcomber Café serves up scrummy breakfasts, lunches and early evening meals. In the summer months there is Al Fresco dining with tables overlooking the beach and play park.

Head over to the river beach and you will find the popular Crab Shack, a seafood lovers paradise. Showcasing the best local fish and seafood the region has to offer it gets booked up in the summer months, so booking is essential.

A seaside holiday wouldn’t be without a visit to the Fish and Chip shop and Teignmouth has a great selection, our favourites are Finn McCool’s and the Harbour Fish Bar.
